The Role
We’re looking for an Investment Analysis Intern to help shape the future of The Ington Group’s capital strategy. You’ll work at the intersection of finance and strategy, building the models that determine how we allocate resources to our most critical tools and projects. Your work will help define and prioritize initiatives based on impact and feasibility.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate the profitability of capital projects (NPV, IRR).
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to translate complex operational needs into financial forecasts.
- Prepare investment memos and presentation materials for executive review.
- Present your findings to key stakeholders. You’re part of the team, not just in the back office.
- Align capital allocation strategies with broader company goals like automation and scale.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling, macros) and strong presentation abilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and systems-oriented problem-solving.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage cross-functional workstreams.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in a remote environment.
Nice to Have
- Interest in or progress toward CFA or CFP designation.
- Background in technical or operational systems analysis.
- Previous work in fully remote or asynchronous organizations.
